T-6061 is made of aluminum, which conducts heat quickly. Achieve the effect of rapid heat dissipation. It can be used for a long time, as T-6061 aluminum is the best material for coolers.
The thick of the cooler is about 1.27 in which can better increase the flow limit and speeds up the cooling effect of the oil.
The 13 fins can quickly cool the oil and increase the airflow restriction. The cooling effect can be as high as 30%-40%

Best cooler
I installed in chevy tahoe 2009 is very simple to install and working very well. In normal drive the heat 52c at weather 41c in addition in hevey duty drive at sand by 4×4 the heat 80c and befor in stock cooler was 110c also normal drive 85c .. finally, thanks tru-cool for this product and good quality.

BEST Cooler there is !
I own a Transmission Shop . This is the BEST COOLER Made , it is Factory cooler on most 1 ton trucks , only this has universal mounting , rather than vehicle specific mounts.
I have seen these take 40 degrees off trans temp from a vehicle that only had the radiator cooler.

I bought this a couple of months before I actually need it because it’s going on a truck I’m building with an LS/4L60E. I want to be sure I don’t have a trans overheating so I went a bit overboard buying this one. At this point I can only comment on the appearance and it looks to be a quality part. Try cool max 40,000 GVW transmission oil cooler
I got a 2005 Duramax 2500 HD with a high performance built engine and a High-performance build transmission .my transmission temperature was running around 215 and The new tru-cooler max 40,000 gvw transmission oil cooler low pressure drop .The temperature is running between 180 to 190 .this cooler is the best and I recommend it and I am pulling a fifth wheel 27 foot Jayco camper .

Cheap Insurance for your 4l60e¡
I bought this for my rcsb silverado build. If you have a 4l60e then I would suggest you buy one for yourself. My trans temps have dropped SOOO much. Once my higher stall converter is installed it will help keep the heat down also.

Great product
Purchased this to help keep my transmission temperature under control while pulling my camper. It done really well. Before installing this the trans temps would be between 200 and 220 when pulling. After installing this the transmission temps would run between 160 to 180 when pulling the camper. I replaced the factory transmission cooler with this one did not keep the factory cooler hooked up.

be careful not to go to big if you do not to a lot
getting 135 consistently in Florida (50 degree delta than before install)
I installed with connections up to give by pass lines the ability to work with design I do not want a temp much lower than this (we shall see what the winter brings)
if 135 is a constant year round for Cadillac escalade esv then it is a home run

Easy to install with brackets provided
Installed on a 07 xterra cause original radiator cracked and coolant got mixed up with transmission fluid .
Removed the original and installed on the front of vehicle
So far so good , like that has more capacity and it fit perfectly right in fron of radiator

Dip stick malfunctions,
Well made,double o ring nice,but had to modify Gage wire inner,would not go all the way inside tube,was hitting somewhere,so use drill to open so would slide in all the way and read transmission fluid level,

Wish they provide gm quick connect for the tranny lines
Install this on my 03 silverado I can¡¯t be more than pleased,just wish they provide the quick connect to install to the factory 3/8 transmission lines. I don¡¯t really like using hoses even though they¡¯re double clamps just my humble opinion

Nice product
The cooler came as it was described with all the hardware for a factory connection. However, it would be nice to be able to have the option of ordering the correct AN fittings at time of order. If you plan on changing out your factory transmission lines along with the cooler you will need aftermarket AN fittings to go along with the new transmission lines that have AN fittings installed on them. Those brass fittings that come with the cooler will not fit the AN fittings. I gave the cooler 3 stars for this reason. Would have given 5 stars if the cooler had the option to order the AN fittings.

Awesome cooler lowered the temps. on my 4l80e trans. by 30 degrees on my Chevelle. 4th trans cooler i have tried and i finally found one that can handle the cooling needs of my high performance set-up.

Cooling fins are extremely thin and Damage Easily
I thought the fins should be thicker like more comparable products. These are thin and cheaply done.

What I received is A Good Product
It is not what is pictured. The Long Tru-Cool is pictured.
It is a Dana Tru-Cool that I received. I honestly do not know the difference.
I installed it on a 2013 Silverado with 6L80e. I have a 180 deg thermostat for cooling system. Still have trans lines going to cooler on radiator. Trans was as running 175 deg. not towing, 90 deg day.
After installation, Trans now running 128-136 on an 88 deg day not towing.
