This comes with brass knurles preset at certain degrees for different size tungstens. My first use of this, I used the 3/32 in its original spot i think 20, it was way to shallow of a bevel for my preference. So I took a look at it an realised the knurles have an allen head and can be interchanged. I switched the 3/32nd knurle for the .004 knurle position and got the bevel I like on my tungsten. Also you have to use light pressure (almost just barely touch and spin) on the tungsten or youll get a rough grind on the tungsten. I like this product now that I am getting the results I want.

This is a well thought out and designed tool. Makes grinding new or regrinding used tungsten electrodes a snap. I got the aluminum kit as I read that the plastic one could get hot enough to warp or melt. Maybe so, but I am very pleased with the aluminum grinder. Nice tool for the hobbyist/DIY TIG welder.

Easy and convenient
I was using a belt sander or a green wheel to sharpen my tungsten until I saw this. I have an old Dremel that was showing is age, so I attached this sharpener, and it works great. I dont have to get up to renew the tip. Its very easy and very convenient, and a lot cheaper than other sharpeners.

I was a little skeptical of this product but I like the fact that it attached to my dremel. It works very well and it doesnt take long to sharpen the tungsten as i thought it would have. There is even a spot to cut the ball off the end so it will fit through the guide. Over all it was a good purchase.

It really does make a difference to properly sharpen the tungsten electrode for tig welding. This works quickly and easily to get the proper point. I find with a proper point the tungsten requires less sharpening and the heat is directed more consistently. Good product.

Pretty good little unit. Had to run a bit through the 1/16th as it was blocked and the set screws dont really like coming out to change angles, but it has done a fine job so far.

Nice thing about this product, its manufactured from billet aluminum, unlike most others similar in design, which are made of plastic. This part costs approximately twice as much, when compared to the plastic counterparts.
Only downside is that I would have preferred it to have TWO dedicated, separate angles (each) for 3/32 and 1/8 inch Tungstens.
I also purchased a newly released DREMEL model, rechargeable “DREMEL LITE”, about $50.00 and dedicated this tool solely for Tungsten sharpening.
Overall this tool does exactly what its intended for. The cut-off section is a bit slow, but that might be do to the supplied diamond wheels. I do recommend getting extra cutting wheels, as they wear fairly quick…

Happy with it.
Easy and consistent to use. Cost more than you would think with no motor, but they all do (its right in the rest of the others pricing). No motor so you can pick your own preference. Does connect to the Milwaukee cordless very easy. Grinds down the tungsten.

Looks promising, but save your $ for a proper unit.
Another pro welder that does side work out of my home shop, looks like a good value for the money but it isnt. The main problem is that it uses the very very edge of the wheel to sharpen the tungsten. If not forced over to stay on the wheel, it will sharpen the tungsten with an off center tip.
But if you do achieve a nice tip, unfortunately with it being ground that far on the edge of the wheel you end up with a swirled grind pattern. The same one the put on the description that you want to avoid.

Great tool
I have wanted a cordless tungsten sharpener for quite a while, but wasnt willing to spend $400 + for one, a friend at Praxairs showed me the one they sell and sure enough the motor is built by Milwaukee, I found this head unit for $90 and bought the m12 die grinder and now I have the tungsten grinder I wanted for $150, it works wonderfully, and being cordless I can put it in my field welder kit and use it anywhere

Damaged threads
The threads that screw onto the Dremel grinder are damaged. I will have to buy a tap to repair the threads before it can be used. Other than that it appears well made. There is no seller contact information in the package.

Good for convenience
Its really good with smaller tungstens, although for 3/32 it is a little weak.
This is good for not needing to get up everytime you stick a tungsten, although the bench grinder equipped with a diamond wheel plus a drill is much faster at 3/32.
There are a couple weaknesses I noticed right away, there is some play in the bores that makes it easy for the tungsten to become lopsided when you turn it by hand, and there is some flex in the diamond wheel that makes it tricky to get a consistent grind all the way around, but I just sharpened 3 x10 packs of tungstens in about 15 minutes and Im happy with the results.

This grinder came in handy since school is out works great with minor changes , fit my black & decker RTX perfect grinds great at high speed & changing 2 of the holes for grinding, wont have to get in line at the grinding wheel now to sharpen my tungsten

Caution, even though the pictures show a grinder and its advertised as a grinder, it does not include the grinder. It just includes the attachment that goes on a grinder.

Quick, good tips
Bought this because I was sick of hand grinding my tips. Gives good accurate tips consistently. I put on my milwaukee M12 rotary tool. Set it on 2.5 out of 6 speed, does awesome job. I just leave it on there as a dedicated tungsten grinder. I bought this one verses the one with 40 holes in it, so can just have (1) 3/32 Hole- no confusion. If anyone has a hesitation on buying a tungsten grinder- like I was? Dont be- you will be glad the first time you use it!
Update:
You can move the 3/32 brass guide to any of the 4 bevels you want. The way its marked is deceiving.

After voicing my displeasure with the shipment of the sharpener, I was offered a replacement.
Today I received the sharpener and I am happy with its performance it is every thing as advertised. I like the four different angles that you can grind on the tungsten I am also happy that they stand by their product. I would recommend the grinder.

Not a bad little sharpener. The body is well machined and solid aluminum.. the instructions it comes with are horrible. Talks about installing o-rings and dust shield. Non of which come with or are part of this unit. Might have been for an older or newer design ??
But functions well. I sharpened 20 – 3/32 with no issue and quite fast. The diamond blades are on the cheaper side but do the trick. Nice part is if you do it over a bucket there is no shavings all over.

I do a lot of TIG welding and fabrication at my work shop and I used to always sharpen my tungsten on a bench grinder. It got really tiring fast! Once I got this tool I really liked how simple it is and how well it is made.
It screwed right on to my dremmel tool and I put it to work right away.
You have to be careful not to break the carbide disc while putting it all together.
Once I got it all installed and set up I tried sharpening some tungsten electrodes. It has slots for all kind of different sizes. I mainly use 3/32 so i tried it out. I was amazed on how fast it sharpens the tungsten and how precise it does it also. Perfect tip and angle always! I sharpened about 8 at a time this way I dont have to sharpen them every time I need one or I accidentally dipped it into the weld puddle. All you need to do is just spin it with your fingers. No drill is needed at all.
This tool really is worth having. I would never want to sharpen tungsten on the bench grinder ever again after using this tool.

Works well on new electrodes, more challenging with used ones.
The brass inserts are just the right size for brand new electrodes and they are sharpened in no time. The directions dont give any speed recommendations, but the lowest speed on my older Dremel seemed to work fine. The unit itself appears to be very sturdy and should last a long time.
Resharpening used electrodes is somewhat more cumbersome. Even if the tip is not balled, they appear to expand just enough from heat that you cant fit them into the correct size insert anymore. You have to move up a size or two and grind the tip back down to a size that will fit in the correct insert. Not mentioned in the minimal instructions that comes with the unit.

installed in my dermal quite nicely, the aluminum body is machined clean . the only thing that prevented from getting 5 stars is the guides were machined with a little too much clearance. they have some slop and that is the only reason it gets 4 stars.

ended up returning it too much sloppiness in the guides. will just get a proper sharpener.

Doesnt fit a dermel like they said
I put it on my dremel and it screws on ok but the grinding disk is way above the location where it needs to be. I cant put the cutting mandrel in another further to lower the disk.

Grinds the tungsten swirled just like it says it wont, and I took the guide screw out to move it to another spot and the threads are trashed, but it does have a lot of potential and grinds tungsten very fast, I just think its poorly built for the price

Works awesome, but not so much if the stick gets splatter or you dip it as it wont fit in the hole anymore. You have to grind the corruption off first. Not really a big deal at all and it does such a great job so quickly its still totally worth it.

Dont waste your money
Does not come with the rotary tool and would not fit my milwaukee die grinder. Had to buy the rotary tool seperate, putting this at a total of over $200. And it leaves the swirl marks that it says it will not. Tungsten doesnt spin nicely in the tool either. Save your money and just buy the eastwood grinder.

Become self reliant!
This product works perfectly for my needs in having my own tungsten sharpening device. Welders can get really salty when sharing a grinding wheel which is why having this product gives me more self reliance and saves time in not making unnecessary trips to the grinding wheel. The aluminum housing is thick enough to survive being dropped. The angled guides are interchangeable to allow customizing angles easy. As long as you read the directions that come with the product and DONT JAM THE TUNGSTEN ONTO THE DISC, they last quite long. I use 1/8 gold for TIG welding aluminum and have not yet had to replace the diamond disc.
Let someone else complain about grooves in the grinding wheel and get a consistent tip every time!

Endlich ein Werkzeug mit dem man die Elektroden einfach schleifen kann. For die 4 Elektrodendurchmesser von 1,0 bis 3,2 mm stehen 4 Buchsen zur Verf¨¹gung. Diese wiederum k?nnen in 4 Gewinde verschiedener Winkel eingeschraubt werden. Der Schleifvorgang l?sst sich gut beobachten. Fit right on my Dremel tool & grinds very nice
Welding is not my profession but good quality welding is important to what TIG weld. Proper grinding angle and grind direction are important to achieve the best welding results. I have hand ground tungsten for years without the aid of a fixture so I decided to try this adapter for my Dremel tool. Right away I noticed a more controllable and stable arc. This adapter is a nicely CNC machined aluminum anodized tool and for the price I would give it 5 Stars

Good product but wont fit all Dermel tools
Looks very well made. However will not fit a new Dermel 4300. Its thread does fit the Dremel tool attachment however the Dremel collet length is too long to allow the grinding disk to sit at the required slit location. Result – cannot sharpen the tungsten.

Keep in mind that is is just the fixture, you still need a Dremel or similar too to run it.
I am now seeing that the supplier sells another version that is almost 50% less and I am not sure what the difference is.
Seriously considering trying the other version as that is a substantial savings.

LOL! Great idea, for learning (only). Ive been welding for many years and I have to say that this is a very nice concept but for that price, you gotta be kidding me. I know plenty of old school welders that would have a heart attack if they saw the price on this thing. Not to mention youd be the laughing stock and probably get sent home for being too slow, if you pulled this thing out on a job site. This is like buying a jig to show you at what angle you should brush your teeth. Yeah sure, cool, for a week. Unless you are seriously OCD, this tool is useless after a while, your hands will naturally hold the drill (on slow speed) at the same angle every time. Just like walking or even welding! The price for this thing is just ridiculous, nope, sorry. $29 max! Btw, doing it with your hand just takes more concentration so you dont end up with a flat spot. All you gotta do is make sure your fingers are rotating the electrode before and after you touch the grinding wheel. Use a drill on low speed. If youre on a grinding wheel, itll only take you a dozen electrodes or less to perfect it. For reference: Dec 2021

Not full range of angles
Beginner here, bought this in error and dont recommend it. Others have commented on the sharpening direction (swirl). This seems constructed well, but its not as useful as desired, the angles on this are too low–no way to get a 45 degree point, for example. Ended up buying a more professional model elsewhere.

Overpriced for the quality
Well overpriced for what you get, however probably one of the cheapest solutions for sharpening tungsten with a rotary tool. This tool does work, and will get me by until I can afford a quality tungsten grinder, but I really wouldnt recommend spending the money on it. I had to drill out the 3/32 guide before an electrode would fit in it (tried multiple brands of tungsten). The grinding disks dont seem to be flat either, causing a lot of vibration and a un-uniform grind. Not impressed with this purchase, but getting by with it for now.

Seems a little expensive for such a little thing, but well worth it.
I used to use a diamond disk mounted on the side of a grinder wheel. This is so much better in terms of speed and accuracy of the point. The cutoff to take care of removing contamination is also better than the way I used to just grind it off on a wheel.
I bought a remanufactured battery powered dremel to mount it on permanently and the setup works very well. There are a lot of dremel clones that would have been cheaper , but they dont have the threaded head.

Tried to mount this on three different hand held rotary tool. Two different Dremel models and another unmarked brand. Could not adjust grinding wheel low enough to use. Sent it back. Wouldnt recommend buying.
