Tungsten review
This unit does as advertised. Its easy to use and provides a good finish on your tungsten prep. Having a consistent prep provides better arc stability and better weld results. This units is a great bargain compared to other sharpeners. Highly recommend for the home user.

Its nice to have but its not worth the money. It does what its supposed to and sharpen tungsten but It didnt make it any easier for me.

Great for hobbyists TIG welders.
You get what you pay for. It leaves your tungsten a little rough, but that can probably be changed by getting higher quality diamond wheels. Still way better than $300-$700+ for a tungsten grinder. Even more so for those of us who dont TIG professionally.

Just buy it
2 months into industrial use and still going strong. I love the time it saves not to mention the precise accuracy of the tungsten tip helps your welds dramatically. If you sharpen any other way youre wrong.

I use this daily to sharpen my tungsten, now if the tungsten is around 1? inches it is a little tough to sharpen easily but still able to, I have used the first disc and have yet to see a wore down spot on the disc. I love it and have told my fellow welders. So far 2 have bought it and as well love it

Just buy the tool head
The tool head works fine, the rotary tool lasted three and a half months! Better off buying a Dremel and the head.

Thing grinds a tungsten with ease. The Eastwood one tends to hop out of the holder from time to time.

The holes for the tungsten…get a big gob on the end of your tungsten and it wont fit in the holes privided. Slots would be more practical.

Poor quality, not durable for every day use.
Worked great for a month until the plastic threaded housing that the alluminum shroud screws onto simply broke halfway around from the grinder. Wasnt dropped, or beat up, simply snapped and now wont hold the guide on properly so its essentially worthless. Spend more money I guess, wont be buying this again, nor would I recommend it.

Cool tool
It sets up really easily, I was concerned that my current dremel clone wouldnt fit the threads of the cnc angle thing so got the whole package. This works really well, but the diamond discs dont last very long, and its easy to push the rotating assembly out of true if you push the tungsten in too quickly. With those things in mind though Im really happy to have a dedicated and cost effective tool to take care of this task. The grind quality is better and more consistent than anything I could have done by hand. I can get like 5 done in a time and switch out after any contamination, really improved my work quality
